Dear Trenton Students, Parents, and Community...
We know that it is an understatement to say that this past year has been... shall we say, different? In all seriousness, 2020 has been a struggle and has strained our abilities, our stress levels, and our patience in many ways. But with every night that brings weariness and exhaustion, there is a new dawn that brings hope and a light that helps us keep going. We believe that education is in the business of hope and is an enterprise that challenges us to make our todays better than our yesterdays. That is what hope is all about... that is what grit and drive is all about... it is what makes it possible to put aside today's challenges and be willing to confront similar challenges tomorrow with positivity and a smile. At this time of year, we are provided with an opportunity to pause and reflect on where we've been and how the next months will be unveiled. We all come to our faiths and beliefs in different ways, but regardless of your personal journeys, we at Trenton School hope that each of you can experience the peace that this season can bring. Happy Holidays and best wishes to you all for a restful and safe holiday season!

Tiger Basketball Updates... With the times we are in, we figured we would provide updates on the upcoming basketball games for our boys and girls!

Governor Burgum has amended his executive order regarding extracurricular activities, and they will be permitted to practice November 30th, but will still be unable to play any games until December 14th at the earliest.
If your child is thinking of playing basketball this year, they will need to have a sports physical in place prior to starting practice. The sports physical forms are available at the school.
No School this Wednesday, November 11 as we recognize Veterans Day. There IS school on Friday.

Simply because sometimes we need a smile!

Due to the MANY cancellations that occurred this fall and in anticipation of a similar situation this winter as Williams County remains in the Orange Risk Level, the School Board has decided to reimburse all of the annual and individual passes that had been sold, and to discontinue to the sales for the remainder of this year.
Because the school will be strictly limiting attendance to roughly 33% of seating capacity, his also means, unfortunately, that the Senior Citizen passes will not be honored until further notice as an emphasis will be placed on ensuring that parents of our athletes are able to attend the games of their children.
We do ask all Tigers fans to follow all of our home matches and games as they will be streamed almost live on www.nfhsnetwork.com. A low-cost subscription is required to view the stream.

TRENTON SCHOOL 7-12 RESTART PLAN
All Grade K-6 students will return to regular school on Tuesday, September 8th. Please keep checking this page for a message from the elementary school with more details.
Grade 7-12 Restart
When we return to school on Tuesday, September 8th after the Labor Day weekend, students in grades 7-12 will be returning on a "Hybrid" schedule, meaning that we will be dividing the student population into two groups with only one group attending each day. Since this most recent COVID-19 situation was focused in the upper grade levels, the school administration felt it best to ease our grades 7-12 students back into the school setting and help minimize opportunity for possible re-transmission of the virus, even though we have followed and exceeded ND Department of Health guidelines for a safe return to school.
The groupings for the restart are as follows:
Grades 7 and 9-12
A Group - Last names beginning with A-M
B Group - Last names beginning with N-Z
Grade 8 (since 20 of the 23 students are A-M)
A Group - Last names beginning with A-G
B Group - Last names beginning with H-Z
Schedule
Monday, Sept 7 - Labor Day (No School)
Tuesday, Sept 8 - A Group
Wednesday, Sept 9 - B Group
Thursday, Sept 10 - A Group
Friday, Sept 11 - B Group
Monday, Sept 14 - A Group
Tuesday, Sept 15 - B Group
Wednesday, Sept 16 - A Group
Thursday, Sept 17 - B Group
Friday, Sept 18 - Flex Friday (No School)
Hopefully all will go well with our restart and we can return to "normal" on Monday, September 21st.
In addition to this, sports practices will resume as follows: Varsity football on Monday, September 7, Junior High football and all volleyball levels on Tuesday, the 8th, and Cross Country on Wednesday the 9th. Coaches will be sharing with their athletes the specifics regarding practice times.
We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we continue to navigate these uncertain times.
Steve Morben, Trenton School 7-12 Principal
